1909 Bookstore

“Don’t write poetry to the world. Write poetry to one other person. Write a love note to someone you love, or write a little poetic letter to someone you know.” Jim Jarmusch quoting Frank O’Hara in one of his interview in 2016.

In a world of too much, we do not need many more things, a lot less of a lot of things actually. This is the philosophy we live by. Every book on our shelves has been chosen for a special someone, a loved one, a friend, a returning customer, a new customer…

We are constantly on the search for new books to add to our curated selection of mainly rare books and lost editions, balanced out with new releases, about the broad world of subculture and the art they produce. Always the center of our selection stands music, which we believe connects not only all the other arts, but all of us.
